Distraction

If you haven't noticed my word count on my WIP has remained at the same spot for the last week, well then I envy you. I am constantly aware that I haven't had any time to write and the characters yelling in my head are pretty darn unhappy about it.

The worst part is that I have some brand new guy in there that apparently wants his story told as soon as the rest of them and he is incredibly impatient. Where did he even come from anyway? Someone needs to educate him of the newbie rules--but it can't be me, I'm obviously too busy.

Getting ready for a cruise and dealing with some minor family issues are occupying all of my time. Hopefully these people I share my head with will be more understanding when I am finally on the plane and have about 5 hours of uninterrrupted writing time. Until then they need to hush... I'm getting a headache. ;)

  1. What a rude new character he is! Mr. Newber needs a muzzle it sounds like.

Enjoy your plane ride when it finally gets here! I always find writing on the plane to be great - until my battery dies, which it looooves to do.

  2. ACK! LOL! Stop the madness--or um, don't! LOL! I give up and just write it out whenever a new story starts talking. I LOVE the new one BTW... I vote you write them both! Good luck! And I hope you enjoy your cruise! Eeeh! So lucky! Jenni

  3. Screaming Guppy - I know! How dare he right? LOL I plan to enjoy it and my laptop has a new battery so I should be good for the entire flight! Yay!

Jenni - LOL I will probably be writing whichever one is talking the loudest, right now it is Brady, but we'll see how it goes. :)

  10. I can never write on planes. I always feel like people are looking over my shoulder...

    A cruise! Luck you!

I have characters that have done the same thing. It's very frustrating, I agree. Good luck with your preparations!

  12. Lady Glamis - I do some of my best writing on planes and in airports, but usually it has been when I was alone. With my hubby there I might not get as much done LOL

Terri Tiffany - I know I'm SO excited. I get to go shopping for formal dresses for the gala nights tomorrow! Wahoo It is coming fast!

  13. Maybe that cruise will clear your mind and those words will start pouring out!

  14. Isn't that so annoying? New characters show up at the most inconvenient times. Well, I suppose that's better than the alternative...which is not having them show up at all.

Love the new blog design! I was considering it for my blog at one point, too. Great minds think alike, huh?

  15. Ha! I hate those darn voices. Maybe while you are in flight you can send the really annoying ones out the window.

  17. Debbie - Thanks! I hope the cruise gets those creative juices flowing.

L.C. - Yeah, I'm happy to have the newbie now. His story is totally different than anything I've ever written... or read for that matter.

Jessie - LOL, some of my characters I really should. Unfortunately they have brain matter and my long hair to hang on to, so they aren't going anywhere.

    Shelli - Ain't that the truth ;)

  18. That's is such a great and amusing way to describe those silly new characters and story ideas that always show up when you least expect (or need them). It totally made me laugh because the same things happens all the time. Last night while I was doing something simple, like watching television, my mind wandered and I got an idea and "Awww!" I said outloud. (But really drawn out.) "What?" my husband asked. "Oh, I just thought of a new story idea," I told him. "What does that make?" he wondered. "That puts me at thirty." Yeah, those things just keep popping up all over the place.

  19. Cindy - Hahaha! 30! Yeah, well, you've got me beat so far. :) It's funny though, inspiration comes from the weirdest places and just out of the blue sometimes. :) Anyway, thanks for popping by!
