See Me Give Stuff Away

I'm bored. I'm getting over this bad cold and so I've been stuck in bed for a few days and now I feel just good enough to consider dying my own hair blue, painting the nails of my son, and spray-painting my cat just to keep from staring at my own walls for even one more minute...

...ahem. Let's do a giveaway!

Stop by the comments section, say hello, and tell me something funny/interesting that happened to you this week to be entered for a random giveaway to be announced on Monday. The winner can choose a copy of MATCHED by Ally Condie or a query critique. Let the entertaining begin!

  1. That is a great sign and those are great activities. I support you in all of them. If only I could send you a book to read... Maybe by tomorrow! I am madly editing and about half way done. Feel better!!

  2. I went bike riding for the first time in 20 years. I would have gone a week or so ago, but I was busy being sick.

I blogged about my bike ride. Owie.

  3. Where did you find that sign? That's awesome.

Sorry you've been under the weather. Blech. :(

As for my funny thing, I post (almost) daily random questions on Twitter and Facebook. One recently was "What was the last thing you won?" A follower replied "I won a pair of $80 sex shackles on twitter for being this woman's 100th follower-I had no clue she was a sex doctor specializing in bondage-twitter is a crazy place!"

    That completely cracked me up!

  4. Glad you're on your way to feeling better!

Let's see... I had an interview for a part time job this morning, and in my nervous blabbering I'm pretty sure I listed being "funny" as one of my positive characteristics... #badatinterviews :)

  5. I love the sign. Working extra shifts has kept anything funny or interesting from happening - unless you consider that I listened the The Appendix and it inspired me to do my own podcast on writing and then even a comedy podcast spoofing the news. Now with all the writing I need to be doing that's crazy.

  6. I got a 97 on my calculus test. Ask @danelleleafty how this is funny if you don't believe me.

  9. Blue, eh?

Not a lot of funniness happening around here. My six-year-old did just ask if he could watch Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Apprentice.

  10. Umm, Sunday at church my almost 3 yr old lifted my dress up, exposing to all behind me my toosh, for the SECOND time in a month.
    Feel better soon!

  11. I was standing behind the garage when a crazy Ninja squirrel literally cartwheeled out from behind a tree and flew at me feet first. I think he might have shouted "Yah!" He then scampered away, but I fear he waits for me in the garden beds.

  13. Oops, posted with the wrong account.

Love the sign! And hope you feel better soon.

This past week my coworkers and I decided to coordinate colors every day for a "rainbow week" - red on Monday, orange/yellow on Tues, and so on, ending with purple on Friday. It was rather silly but a lot of fun! :)

  14. That sign is awesome. Sorry you haven't been feeling well.

As for something funny, I tried to make dinner. I mean, a REAL dinner that doesn't come from a box or a state of frozen-ness. I failed miserably. I couldn't get the smell of burnt, rancid garlic out of my kitchen for two days. We ended up eating Wendy's.

Thanks for hosting a giveaway! Hope you feel better soon!
