And It's Monday

I've had some serious sleeping issues lately. My brain feels a little fried, and I honestly can't think of a thing to write about. So, instead, I'm going to ask you guys a question. Anyone have any suggestions to help with insomnia?

Yes, I recognize the irony.

  1. I have insomnia a lot, too. Mostly it's because my brain can't shut down. One of the things that works best for me is to work on indexing ( The repetition and data entry is relaxing for me. Plus, I find the names and what people died of fascinating.

  2. I don't have any problem falling asleep, but I keep waking up at 4 or 5 in the morning and can't go back to sleep. That's my worry time. Are you worried about something? Maybe you need to take time to de-stress before going to bed.

  3. I'm an insomniac. The only thing I've found that works for me is Ny-Quil. Not the healthiest of solutions, so I only use it in the case of an emergency... or an early shift at my day job.

  4. I'm bad with the insomnia. I'd say, don't take a nap the day after you couldn't get to sleep. I'm always up the next night when I do that.

  5. I have a friend who suffers from insomnia. She started taking pilates classes which helps to relieve her stress and loosen up her muscles. She reports being able to sleep better now than she did while taking prescription sleep medication.

    It takes me about an hour to fall asleep, and then I wake up three or four times a night. I flipped and turned my mattress over this weekend and slept deeply all night. YAY!

  6. Melatonin helps me and doesn't make me drowsy. Good luck getting some sleep!
