Good News/Giveaway Monday!

CONTEST IS OFFICIALLY CLOSED. THANKS FOR PARTICIPATING!

This month, I'm excited about a lot of things. One of which is my 1 year anniversary with my amazing agent, Kathleen Rushall. I'll be posting an Ode to Kathleen on Wednesday(because truthfully, the world needs more Odes), and as I said last week, I have exciting news brewing that I will hopefully be able to share soon, but in the meanwhile...

IT'S GIVEAWAY TIME!!!

This is how this will work. To enter you just need to comment on this post and tell me one good thing going on in your life. Sometimes it's hard to remember to focus on the positive, but I truly believe it makes all the difference, so let's revel in it.

HOW TO WIN:

For every 5 people that enter there will be 1 randomly drawn winner. That makes the odds 20%. UNLESS I gain 8 followers and get to 400 during this contest...which, in and of itself, calls for another celebration. So then, I will up the odds to 1 in every 4 will win. That is 25% odd of winning. Can I get a yay, math?

PRIZES:

Each winner will get to choose between a query critique, a first 5 pages of your manuscript critique, or a YA book from my secret stash (some will be available signed).

I'm so excited to hear all of your good news! This contest will be open from now until midnight EST on Friday night, 4/13/13. Because it's Friday the Thirteenth, and man...that's cool. Winners will be announced on Monday, 4/16/13

Have a great week!

currently, I'm pretty happy that my novel is in the hands of betas and I don't have to tinker with it for a while. Also, I've got lots of Shiny New Ideas brewing so I'm SUPER pumped that I may not be a one hit wonder in the idea department hahaha.

    oh, and YAY MATH! ;)

  2. I'm happy about going for a walk with my husband and brainstorming ideas for my WIP. He's awesome about bouncing ideas around and I'm so excited to write now.

Also, I'm very happy about the sunshine. Very, very happy.

  3. One good thing going on in my life! There are so many! But the best thing of all is my very best friend in the whole world, to whom I can tell absolutely anything. Everyone needs a friend like that. :)

  4. I am fortunate to have a ton of good news. My family is in our new home. I am back to being able to write again. And I have a short story that was printed in the City of the Gods anthology. There's more, but that covers some of the bigger stuff.

  5. Great giveaway, Jenn :) I'm lucky to have lots of good things going on. Great writer pals, including YOU, to share the whole writer life. Awesome agent (Kat definitely deserves an ode), and happy, healthy family that supports me every step of the way. Also, lots of leftover Easter goodies, so that's nice too. ;)

  9. Happy 1 year anniversary!
My good news is that last month I got an R+R request for my novel. It had been getting all rejections before that, even on fulls and partials, etc. To hear that my book was similar to Before I Fall (thats what this agent said in the e-mail of my R+R) was heart stopping :)
I'm now currently working on the revisions to make this book better.

  10. My six year old son had a nasty virus that mimics lymphoma. Which doesn't sound like good news until you consider we didn't know it was a VIRUS for over a week.

    Can't wait for your news!

My son is always the highlight of my life...he brightens every day and I'm always (even in the most stressful of toddler times) grateful for him and his silliness.
