  3. A recent bizarre dream... all right. I was some kind of secret agent, trying to find my way into the basement under a lube & oil tire place in a strip mall. So I parked my car at the lube & oil, went into the bar next door, (yeah, this was some kind of strip mall...) and found their basement. Gods were playing chess in a giant room under the mall, and I had just become a bishop on the board. But I wasn't supposed to be there. I kept fighting the god trying to make me move, I wanted to go to a different spot on the chess board. Or just get off the chess board.

So... yeah, that's my dream :)

  6. Last night-- I had a dream I was somewhere doing a crazy amount of gardening with a big group of people. I gave up on helping when I got hit in the head with a shovel for the THIRD TIME. I woke up with such a headache!

    Awesome giveaway!!!

  9. About 2 weeks ago I dreamt that my cousin called and told me he had to go on a business trip to Japan and could take a two people with him. If I wanted to go along, I had to be at the airport in 3 hours to claim my free ticket. I got there and the airport was very confusing, like a maze, but I finally managed to get everything settled. When I got on the plane and took my seat next to him, I realized that in my rush I hadn't packed any shoes. So I told him we'd need to buy a pair as soon as we landed, either black or brown. We landed in Japan and went to a store. I bought a pair of brown shoes. WHen we got to the hotel I opened up my suitcase and realized I had packed all black clothing, nothing brown. Then I woke up.

  10. I don't really have funny dreams, or at least I don't seem to remember any. But still remember a weird one where I was back in my mum's flat and suddenly friends and relatives started turning into giant cockroaches. *shudder* Yep...

  11. I used to not dream very much, but I'm dreaming more frequently now, which is nice.
One notable dream involved Atlantis and three characters (siblings, two boys and one Ferrari-obsessed girl) which I might turn into a book someday.

A more recent dream involved an island in the clouds, terrifying rope bridges (like the ones in South America, with rope handrails, the ones where a gust of wind sends the whole thing swinging), magic, and a giant polar bear named Rory. It was pretty cool.

And of course there's the nightmare I had as a Wizard of Oz-obsessed 3 or 4 year old with an evil Tin Woodman. Classic, scary, and I don't remember any of it.
Kinda like how I apparently had nightmares about a singing kitty at about the same age...

Dude. Chocolate. Finnish chocolate. This whole giveaway sounds absolutely fantastic. :) I've been admiring Insomnia's cover from afar for a while, so it's great to find your blog!

  12. Hmmm, the most frequent strange dream I've had was being shot by a pig. I know, I know, it's extremely strange. Part of it's due to lack of a working brain, but I also blame the fact that we just finished reading Animal Farm for school.

    Nice prizes!

  14. I don't ever remember my dreams. However, when I was in elementary school, I had a very vivid dream about poisonous bubbles.

  15. A bizarre dream that I was being squished by a rock. But the strange part was, was that I expected it to be hard and heavy, except it wasn't. It was like a styrofoam looking rocking that weighed nothing. It felt so real, trust me.lol. I don't know. All I remember is that it creeped me out, and still does. lol

  16. A lot of my dreams revolve around sitting for exams that I never studied for O_O

  19. Okay, this is so crazy cuz I came and found your site so I could tell you about the dream I just had this morning, LOL. We were at some kind of conference (guessing a writers conf)and we were hanging out, being good buds and then in walks your mom and--get this--your mom was Barbra Streisand! I was like, I didn't know your mom was Barbra? And you said yeah, and then proceeded to tell me about your famous mother and how she had a good attitude about being famous. Then when your mom (Barbra) walked over, I said, "My mom absolutely loves your music. I grew up listening to her sing it. Maybe I could have you sign something for her, like a bookmark."
She was very gracious and said of course. Only later did I think, A bookmark? Why would Barbra Streisand sign a bookmark?
But I also asked you and your mom about the cute dresses you had on and you told me where you bought it and I didn't recognize the store. I thought, Oh, yeah, if her mom is Barbra Streisand I couldn't afford to shop at the same store anyway.
See, I told you it was bizarre, but I have really, REALLY weird dreams. :)

    1. Hahahahahahaha!! LOVE this! That's so funny, Rachelle. :-) I'd totally bring Babs to a writers conference...even though she's not a writer...so she could sign bookmarks. That's awesome. ;-)

  20. I dreamt the other night that I went to a dance and was dressed up really extravagant. When I entered the hall I looked around and there were no people only zombies!!! They were dancing and jiving. I stood there with my jaw dropped. Next thing they all turned their heads and saw me and chased me all over the hall. I woke up then.

    1. Ah, yes...common zombie problem. They were jealous because you looked prettier than them.

  21. NO JOKE - I had a dream that I slapped someone in school, and I was facing expulsion or suspension (obviously, expulsion is worse). It was TERRIFYING! That's my most recent dream. Nightmare, really.

Thank you for the giveaway! I have Insomnia from Edelweiss, but I would really like a print copy :D

  22. I frequently have dreams about being barefoot in disgusting, filthy public restrooms. The dream is always a little different, but the common themes are that there are people around (with shoes on) who don't seem to find my lack of shoes odd, and as disgusted as I am, it never occurs to me to LEAVE the bathroom.

In real life, I do avoid public restrooms whenever possible, but I'm pleased to say I've never actually pulled a Britney Spears and entered on barefoot.

    1. And naturally, I forget the dream.

Hmm. I recently dreamt I was Fiona from Adventure Time and was protecting a crossdressing cosplayer. Very fun and cool. I wish I was as neat as Fiona!

(But fighting in a skirt sort of feels uncomfortable.)

  27. Squee! Can't wait until INSOMNIA is released. The cover is chilling and the premise is so intriguing... I can't wait to read it, Rebecca! :)

My most recent dream involved some sort of hovercar system in which you could just hover around, rather than walk. But you could only hover where there were these colored balls (like a sidewalk, but more like Point A to Point B, rather than a line, since they were balls). However, I couldn't find any balls and thus couldn't move. My dreams are so odd! (and futuristic, LOL)

  28. Haha this is a hilarious entry. And even better, I just had a fantastic dream! So any whovian here should understand. I dreamed I was the Doctor's companion and it was so magically wonderful. And I got my own sonic screw driver. And of course a key to the Tardis. And which Doctor you ask? Ten of course! :)

    So weird. lol.
